This was a most talented group of folders.   Some had folded a model or two or origami, and others had not folded before!

The girls at right are folding the pieces that would make the bowl above, or the fun dragon I teach in classes, or even the lovely swan bowls that are pictured on the
birthday page!
A lovely "Ella" at her 10th Birthday Party - with a Japanese theme, wearing her own pretty Kimono... Ella holds a beautiful origami bowl from the table of the home's hostess.

This bowl is a stunning example of what can be done by assembly of a simple unit origami piece!  Made from recycled magazine or other papers, this bowl is truly a find.
We estimate there are about 1000 or more pieces of origami.  See
Ella's Page
for the instructions for folding this piece! I counted nearly 100 pieces in the first small center bottom circle.

On a rainy day in California the girls still had a perfect day, a perfect table and location, for the birthday party and origami folding!

The girls are working on the Noshi, - the wrapper for their new chopsticks!

We used great papers and had a great time learning to fold about  6 models in a short time! This is possible when the folders are so super!

It was lively, fun, and everyone went away with many models!
The joy of origami is in the fun and beauty of the finished models.

The joy of the "Teacher"  is seeing such beautiful faces & smiles,  and the great interaction with such a fantastic group of girls.

Thank you   to the Moms who helped as well!!
Everyone should be very proud of their work and folding.

We were able to learn so many models in the short hour and a half, because the girls were smart, focused, fun, and very good with their fingers!
